4. Manage uncertainty

In the vast majority of cases, making a decision is not without uncertainty, whether you like to take risks or not. There comes a time when a decision has to be made, despite the lack of information or the confusion caused by too many contradictory elements.

Some people are naturally more comfortable taking risks than others, and this diversity is helpful to the team. You don’t want the team to be made up solely of risk-takers or risk-averse people.

However, deciding in the face of uncertainty does not mean closing your eyes and hoping for the best. There are steps you can take to manoeuvre optimally without a crystal ball.
